Ethical non-monogamy - when practiced well - is the art of giving your time, energy, affection and attention to more than one person. It has many forms, rules, and lengths from casual to eternal, from wild to mild. Best to say it has as many forms as many people connect to each other.

Ethical non-monogamy is so much more than sex itself! Did you know that polyamory can be a thing for asexuals, too? As we started: this site is about the art of giving instead of the unsatisfiable will of receiving.

You may learn about open relationships, swinger, polyamory here. Just ethical, exclusively consensual, free but respectful ways of living.

We don't want to convert, not even to convince anybody about this philosophy and we don't believe that ethical non-monogamy would be better than any other consciously chosen lifestyle.

But if you wish to open the door of your and your partner's gilded birdcage, you may find good resources here. Look around!

About the authors

We are László Ágoston (opera singer, human rights activist, "Nordic Goodwill Ambassador") and Barbara Kónya (former dancer, medical massage therapist and spiritual healer), a happily married couple, who have chosen to live polyamorously since the first day we met.

We remember the epiphany of finding polyamory as one of the most important moments of our lives. Suddenly everything started to make sense. We didn't have to feel "faulty" anymore - but it wasn't easy at all: a long journey of learning began.

We started this site and deliver our talks and programs about ethical non-monogamy to help those who are now in the same uncomfortable situation as we were then. We want to share our experiences, our "knowledge" and our views of this extremely important topic, but also to create community and help likeminded people to find each other.

In 2018 we started a series of educational talks about polyamory, swinger and ethical non-monogamy based on not just our experiences and researches, but we also invited experts from many fields - from psychologists to even a feminist catholic theologian.

We created Nonmono, because we know how tremendously thankful we would have been for such a compass in this uncharted territory, when we, ourselves needed confirmation, guidance, information, and community.

Maybe we could have even avoided the pitfalls that we fell into. And that we now try to help you avoid.
